Giving, Now – Donating to the East Sussex Wildlife Rescue Service
If you want to go fast, I’m putting the summary tl;dr (Too Long; Didn’t Read) at the top: For the month of December, 2017, every penny I make from every format of both my books I’ll be donating to East Sussex Wildlife Rescue & Ambulance Service. This covers eBooks and paper copies of both The Hollow Traveller and The Clocks Have Stopped.
Right, now the longer version.
My book, The Hollow Traveller, released recently. In it, a lone traveller wanders the stars, finding each one has already met its ending; every race has failed, and all are dead. The story is about what the traveller does, why they do it, and how they spend their time in that dead universe. It is, I think, somewhat hopeful, yet unquestionably a bleak outlook on our universe’s future.
We’re not there yet, though. We haven’t reached the end of our story. Whenever and however our conclusion comes, as we are hopefully a long way from it, it seems only decent to make the world a better place in every way we can, such that our time on this world is as great and beautiful as it can be.
I’m not a terribly well-known writer; my reach is limited and my own financial ability to contribute even more so. However, I do create – I have written two books, and with those I hope to make just a little difference.
So here we are – as I said above, for the month of December, for every sale of each of my books in every format it is currently available, I will donate every penny I receive to the East Sussex Wildlife Rescue & Ambulance Service. This means digital and print versions of both books, worldwide.
The books:
The Hollow Traveller: Endings From a Dying Universe – available in eBook and paper formats from Amazon (UK, US, also available pretty much anywhere Amazon has a presence.)
The Clocks Have Stopped – available in eBook and paper formats from Amazon (UK, US, etc.)
Notes and such: I am not in any way affiliated with East Sussex Wildlife Rescue & Ambulance Service – I’m doing this because they’re great, but that doesn’t mean they in any way endorse me. Reports for when both books were purchased can sometimes take a little while to come in; I should know most figures by Jan 1st but if the report updates later with more orders over December I’ll make a second donation with the residual – every penny of my cut from these books is going to charity!
A good read for a worthy cause – what more could one ask?
